End Violence — INSPIRE

Seven Strategies to End Violence Against Children

About INSPIRE

INSPIRE is a WHO-led global initiative that presents seven evidence-based strategies for ending violence against children. VPA Jamaica is committed to implementing these strategies across our programmes and advocating for their adoption at the national policy level.

The 7 INSPIRE Strategies

  1. 1.Implementation and enforcement of laws
  2. 2.Norms and values — changing social and cultural attitudes
  3. 3.Safe environments — creating spaces where children thrive
  4. 4.Parent and caregiver support
  5. 5.Income and economic strengthening
  6. 6.Response and support services
  7. 7.Education and life skills

VPA Jamaica's Commitment

VPA Jamaica works to embed the INSPIRE framework across all programmes, ensuring that our evidence-based approaches target the root causes of violence against children and build lasting protective factors in families and communities across Jamaica.
