About the CMOC
The Consensus 2020 – Crime Monitoring & Oversight Committee (CMOC) is an independent body bringing together nonpartisan stakeholders from the private sector, civil society, academia, and the political directorate.
It provides an independent overview of the efficacy and efficiency of programmes agreed through the process of national consensus, and keeps the public engaged on progress in reducing crime, violence and corruption in Jamaica.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance and progress of the parties in completing deliverables
- Make quarterly reports to stakeholders and the people of Jamaica
- Hold meetings with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies to raise concerns
- Propose Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) agreed on by all parties
- Ensure transparency and public accountability on the Consensus programme
